A Resolute New Year

Here we are again.
Again? I guess that isn’t accurate, since it is a year anew.
At this time of year people make resolutions and for once I did this year too. So this year I resolve to:
- Actually use my blog. This being the first step down that path.
- Get “out there” more. Typically I’ve been pretty private about what I do, my thoughts on all that and generally hid in the shadow of my company. That changes this year.
- Get new glasses. Done actually, will pick them up tomorrow. My prescription has changed, I can tell because I’m getting headaches again after a day’s work.
- Get in shape. Note that it isn’t “lose weight”. While I might be a little heavier than I should be, it is more the “getting winded playing soccer with the kids” that I want to improve.
- Genuinely give love a chance.
- Actually use my MP3 Player. I’ve been on a kind of moratorium of music. By that I mean that I’ve not actively sought out new music in the past year. If it didn’t fall in my lap, I didn’t hear about it.
- New Games. This past year I was conservative in my purchases of new games, sticking to a few classic games to add to my collection. This year I shall try to purchase newer games. The “to buy” list so far: Street Fighter IV. Some recent games to pick up: Fallout 3, Fable 2, Gears of War 2
- Collecting more classics. At one point I decimated my SNES collection. It is time to rebuild. And I want to continue to build my 2600 collection. If I want to break 200 carts and i think I only need 75 to 80 more to do it. For the Virtualboy I only need Water World and Nester’s Funky Bowling to complete a US collection.
